Marks takes the reins in this episode to show us what he actually does in the kitchen what he uses as a sugar substitute in his recipes – it’s impressive, smart, and totally doable even if your idea of “cooking” is reheating last night’s takeout.

Turns out, dates aren’t just chewy little nuggets of natural sweetness. They’re good for your heart, brain, bones, and (drumroll) yes—your bathroom habits too. 💩 (We said what we said)

Here’s the gist of what Marks does:

  • Let them soften up (go on, give them a spa moment)

  • Store and use as a sweetener in muffins, banana bread, power bombs, cookies, or even a warm bowl of oatmeal (go ahead and ditch the brown sugar)

Now? It’s a fridge staple in their house, and Juliet (our oldest daughter) whips up muffins, banana bread, and who-knows-what-else with it—no sugar added!
